Today I'm showing you another, completely different song. Another one I'm crazy about lately. I don't really have much to say about it since this normally isn't something I would listen to at home or on the road. I like this music in clubs and such but it's just not something for at home. Yet this one really got me and I play it so often. Take a listen!

This week there's another a song I wanted to share with you guys. I've known it for a very long time but for some reason I completely forgot about it. Just until Bouncing Souls were playing on the radio and I looked them up on Spotify. And there it was, this song I've forgotten about for years although I loved it so much. It's called 'Sarah Saturday'. (That is kinda fun because my name is Sarah too.) 

The Bouncing Souls are an American Punk band, which makes it something totally different than Oscar & The Wolf. But I love rockmusic just as much as I love other kinds of music. You'll find out about that in the next couple of weeks.

So for now, give this song a listen!

Ingredients (for 10-12 little cheesebreads):

- Puff pastry (square shaped is the easiest, you can find those at the frozen food section)
- 55ml. white wine (the alcohol will disappear when cooking)
- 200gr. young cheese
- 1 egg
- a bit coffeemilk
- peper & salt


Preparation:

1. First things first: measure all ingredients and get it out of the refrigerator. 
2. Put a cookingpot on the stove with the butter. When it's heated and melted, you can add all the flour. You have to mix this until you get a 'roux'. This means all the butter and flour should turn into a batter. If that has happened, you can add the stock and white wine slowly. Stir until it's a runny batter. 
3. This is the part where you add the cheese to the batter. Leave 50gram of cheese for later. Because of the heat, the cheese will melt and you will have the perfect batter! Put the batter in the fridge for about 15 minutes.
4. In the mean time, you can preheat the oven at 190 degrees Celsius.
5. After 15 minutes, spread the  cheese batter over the pieces of pastry. Fold the puff pastry in half so you can cover the cheese batter and press all the sides together with a fork. 
6. When this is done for all the pieces of pastry, you can now mix the egg and coffeemilk in a cup. Now you can 'paint' some egg-milk mixture on each entire piece. We do this because it makes sure the bread gets a lovely color and the cheese on top will stick on it. 
7. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the pastry and put in the oven for about 25 minutes!

Earlier this year my "little" niece turned 19 and therefore we decided to go on a little citytrip with a small part of the family. I went to Rome with my (youngest) niece and her mother (my youngest aunt), another (older) niece and her mother (my oldest aunt), my mother and me. It was a lovely trip and I thought it'd be fun if I showed you guys some pictures.

We went to Rome in march and even though I've been there about two years ago, I was still amazed by how wonderfull and relaxing the city is. We stroled around the city and ate lots of gelato. It was lovely. We've already decided we're going to Barcelona next year!

We zijn met de skibus naar L2A gegaan omdat we dat het makkelijkste vonden. 's Morgens vroeg kwamen we aan en in de late namiddag konden we pas in onze studio dus zijn we om de tijd te doden gaan wandelen langs de pistes en in het dorpje. Tijdens het wandelen kwamen we super gezellige winkeltjes tegen. Op de foto hieronder zie je verschillende soorten blokjes chocolade voor warme chocomelk te maken, zo leuk! Er waren ook duizend theesoorten waarvan eentje met popcorn en caramel?! Ik heb dik spijt dat ik die niet mee naar huis heb genomen, hij rook namelijk hemels. Naast thee verkochten ze ook likeur in de winkel met smaken als pina colada, cocos, ... Vooral de aankleding ervan was leuk, in dikke glazen bollen met pijpjes. Je kon dan zelf je fles kiezen en die vullen! Hieronder een paar sfeerbeelden.

Je kan er bijna niet meer omheen. Overal zie je reclame over 40 dagen zonder vlees. 40 dagen vasten voor het milieu zodat we op onze ecologische voetafdruk besparen. Hoeveel dagen je wilt mee doen, beslis je zelf. Als je ervoor kiest om slechts één dag in de week vegetarisch te eten, is dat dik oké. Kies je ervoor om voor de volle 40 dagen te gaan, is dat nog beter. Vorig jaar deed ik er al aan mee en wou ik voor de 40 dagen gaan. Ik deed niet enkel mee voor mijn ecologische voetafdruk, maar ook omdat ik nieuwe recepten wil leren kennen en maken. Eens iets anders dan de klassieke kost die ik thuis voorgeschoteld krijg (of zelf maak).

Helaas pindakaas is het vorig jaar niet altijd even vegetarisch gebleven. Ik was niet goed voorbereid en was tijdens de start nog op vakantie met het lief. Ik was het dus compleet vergeten en begon dan maar een paar dagen later. Naast die 'achterstand', was ik vaak ook moe na m'n werk 's avonds. Ik had écht geen zin om nog vegetarisch te gaan koken (mijn ouders weigerde om mee te doen, dus moest ik zelf maar mijn eten maken), dus ik schoof toch regelmatig aan voor een bordje met vlees. Da's immers zoveel makkelijker.

Daaruit heb ik echter geleerd dat het belangrijk is om je voor te bereiden. Ik heb me afgelopen week bezig gehouden met het opzoeken van, zowel snelle als uitgebreide, recepten en ben de komende twee dagen van plan om al wat recepten te maken zodat ik die in de diepvries kan steken. Voor als ik toch echt geen zin heb om nog te koken, want ja, ook dit jaar moet ik weer voor mezelf koken terwijl mijn ouders lekker vlees eten. Ik weet dus hoe groot de verleiding is.

Ook ga ik zoeken naar lekkere receptjes voor 's middags. Een slaatje met mozarella en tomaat, toast champignon, vegetarische wraps, ... You name it, I'll make it.

Enkele recepten

Ik weet overigens dat er op de website van Dagen Zonder Vlees ook 40 recepten staan, maar je moet er vaak veel voor in huis hebben en veel tijd voor maken. Dus ik zocht m'n eigen recepten op. Hieronder vind je een paar recepten die mij wel aanspraken en die ik zeker wil maken dit jaar.
